BSG Spoiler Overload
Some of you might have noticed that there have been a few less updates lately. Honestly, it is because I just sick and tired of tip toeing around spoilers. It seems that every news item coming down the feeds these days is chock full of everything that is going to happen this season. I really can't understand what fun it is watching a show when some of you know what you know.
Where is the surprise? Where is the suspense?
But honestly, it has gotten a little ridiculous lately. While innocently browsing my feeds today I read something about a certain number of Cylons onboard Galactica that I just honestly didn't need to know. And there it was... right out in the broad daylight without any warning. The way it was presented it was as if everyone already knew this piece of information. I am no angel and I am sure I have spoiled people a few times with some of my posts (i've gotten comments and emails about it)... nobody is perfect and I admit that... but the BSG news community has just gotten out of hand lately.
At this point, I have consciously decided to steer clear of anything that is plot related. I am tired of linking to episode guide updates and the latest secrets divulged in the forums or on the other sites. I figure at this point, there is just over a week to go till the second season starts and I can wait with anticipation.
I am more excited for season 2 to begin so we can stop writing about what is going to happen and start commenting on what is actually happening. I mean honestly, there are forum threads out there where people are debating plot points of episode 2.10 and we haven't even seen episode 2.01!
If you have any thoughts, leave a comment. Maybe I am just a bit edgy because all of you know a bunch of cool stuff that I don't. I am looking forward to next week so I can start catching up!

You said it. I have a couple friends who love to read spoilers, but not me. Why rob yourself of the emotional impact, especially if there's a shocking surprise? I mean, would anyone feel the same sudden shock when Boomer shot Cmdr. Adama if they had already known it was coming? Where's the fun?

Right on. Shocking the viewer is one of the many things this show excels at, and I relish it. I jumped off the couch when Adama was shot. No other show has had me in its hand like that. I love coming to this site for all kinds of info, interviews, locations and other tidbits, but not spoilers. Thanks for not shoving them out there, this is the only site I come to lately that's BSG related, for that reason...

Had to stop myself from reading the TVGuide article on Battlestar b/c I feared and sensed that it had some spoilers.

I read spoilers for stuff I don't really care about, like - say - Star Wars.
I expect to be surprised by BSG Season 2, and I really appreciate your commitment to be spoiler-free here on the blog. =)
