What is your season 2 wishlist?

The Lion's Domain blog made a great post about Battlestar Galactica:

Rather than try to predict what will happen in season two of Battlestar Galactica, I’ll post my wishlist of what I’d like to see.

1. I’d like Tigh to continue to be a drunk. A real substance abuser doesn’t kick the habit easily and he has every reason to be plastered. His wife is a ho, the commander has been shot and he’s not ready for command.

2. I’d like Tigh’s wife to remain a ho whose motives are unclear, but I don’t want her to be a Cylon. People can be evil without being Cylons.

I can only think of a few at the moment:

1. Please don't turn Baltar into an evil genius. One of my favorite parts of the show is watching him balance what he knows to be right for the colonialists with what he knows to be right for himself. A full jump to the evil side would be the death of his character's complexity in my mind.

2. I know it is probably too late, but if you film birthing scenes, please don't have the child come out looking 8 months old like they did in Revenge of the Sith. Cheese... overload.

3. Please don't have any more characters hook up.

4. Start bringing back some of the focus on the secondary characters. They seemed prominent in the first part of season 1, but slowly faded as the season progressed.

5. After Colonial day, I really do not want Zarek to be a pure evil guy. His speeches made him sound so much more complex and I actually bought alot of his ideas... how they are living in the past... not recognizing what has happened and that their old lives... of being bartenders and gardeners and reporters is over. I would like to see the colonialists evolve in that direction.

6. Realistically, they would start tearing apart the small ships and merging them together to make long term voyage craft. Some sort of ship building B sub plot would be interesting.

7. I know it is bound to happen, but I don' t know how many mystery Cylons I can take on Galactica. I just hope I am not cheesed out by someone like Tyrol or Gaeda or Billy being revealed as a Cylon.

8. Space battles... more of them... nuff said.

9. Cylon clone wars... hundreds of Helfer's raiding Galactica... awesome.

10. Ok I am running out of ideas... gonna stop.

Heard something about the Pegasus showing up...hope they do it respectfully as either a derelict to raid supplies and vipers from or a long lost ship that had a jump malfunction and has been limping along ever since (and on the verge of death) trying to get back to the colonies, but not a Voyager-esque fully-operational Battlestar ready to join Galactica as a second big gun for the fleet.

Another idea for Pegasus is that she escaped the holocaust. There's no way anyone can be 100% sure that the ragtag fleet consists of all the surviving Colonial ships. For that matter, we can't be absolutely sure the entire Colonial Fleet is gone. On another note, how the hell Galactica and Pegasus finds each other in the vastness of space should be really interesting to explain.

I agree pretty much with the wishlist, but I have a suspicion Gaeta may be a Cylon. I think it would be trite to have another who's-the-cylon tease, especially for a major cast member.

The only one who we can be certain ISN'T a Cylon is Helo, and just because the Cylons tried so hard to get a baby out of him and CapricaBoomer. I know the same is true for Six and Baltar, but he's just so far wacky that I'm not going to make up my mind on him yet.

wish #1: i hope they don't screw anything up.

wish #2: to hear the immortal words "by your command" uttered by a centurion.

wish #3: screw the space battles, i want ground battles. i want to see centurions slaughter colonials!

wish #4: the return of lucifer.

wish #5: helos kills starbuck. or even better, they kill each other. better still, a horde of centurions descends on them and does the job in real style. can you tell i can't really stand either character?

wish #6: dirk benedict returns as "starbuck." maybe he was kara's dad and he had some real bad flying accident and he vowed to never fly again, but the death of kara causes him to snap out of it and makes him want to kill cylons. he becomes a force with which to be reckoned causing # Sex to leave baltar for this new dashing pilot extraordinare. a whole new subplot is created in which starbuck learns # Sex is a a cylon and literally "pumps" her for information on a regular basis.

wish #7: tigh's wife is killed off as soon as possible. preferably by a centurion. or maybe roslin can blast her out into the cold vacuum of space. or maybe her cancer is contagious and tigh's wife gets a really bad case of it. whatever, but a catastrophic fate needs to befall her ASAP.

Wish #8: they never show the inside of that planet ship again. ever.

wish #9: the raptors all miracuously disappear and are replaced with something that looks cool.

wish #10: roslin is defeated by apollo; lt. castillo survives.

Ground battles? I wished for hundreds of Helfer's assaulting Galactica... that is pretty close to a ground battle...
