Now, I am not a big comic reader, but the art seems ok to me. I have seen the comments from some saying it is poor... and like I say, I am not a connoisseur, but saying it sucks might be going a bit far. Am I crazy for liking it? I don't know about most of you... but am pretty excited for these comics.

I'll totally admit that I wasn't being particularly fair on the comic. I'm being unreasonable, and that's fine.

I guess... eh, a little history if you would.

TNG. I personally was not a huge fan. But I loooooved the comic series (though I wasn't keeping up with it very regularly). Didn't really appreciate the comic 'history' lessons, and the art was pretty mangy. But what I really liked about it was that it was a lot darker than TNG. At the time, continuety was a much bigger element, and lets just say that locutus(sp) had a heavy handed presence. Kinda similar to BSG actually in it's relentless dispair during some points. and that's why I liked it. It basically did what the producers were afraid to do.

so... onto bsg... I'm having a really hard time imagining a scenario that would play out in the opposite fashion, the comic being more light hearted and ideal than the show, though perhaps marginally.

Again, being unfair. will I give the comic a chance? probably not. should you trust my judgement and not pick up the comic? probably not :p

"should you trust my judgement and not pick up the comic? probably not :p"

Fair enough! ;)

Hee. Fanboy :D

You are calling me... the guy who runs a BSG fan blog... a fanboy? :)

That's right, you heard me! NERD!

I don't generally like comics adaptations (though I like comics). Picked up the first issue (#0) and really enjoyed it though.
