HNR says Galactica should get an Emmy
Hey, I completely agree with Robert Falconer...and Canda's The Globe and Mail. Check out the article:
It seems we're not the only ones who've been waxing loquaciously about Battlestar Galactica. Just about every major media outlet - including those generally considered among the most prestigious - have been singing the praises of this ground-breaking space drama (or perhaps we should say a drama that just happens to be set in space) for the past year. From Time magazine declaring it 2005's best TV series to making the American Film Institute's top-10 list, the series continues to find support.
We can hope right?

I've seen the list of emmy nominees for bsg on the sci fi website....
so is there something I'm missing, or is it another false alarm?

I rescind my own comment due to retardism. I should really try this sleep thing once in a while.

Two words why they won't get it- "Sci" and "Fi". Both the genre and the channel.

I would LOVE to see it get an Emmy nod or two. But we have to remember that it took the X-Files two years to break into the club and that was, at least, on one of the big four networks.
I think if BSG should get a nod, that would be a victory alone. That said, I doubt it will get one because the Emmy voters won't "get" it.

Why can't Canada talk about its own politics for once and not America's? They always try to draw parallels to American culture and politics. Outsiders judging America seems somewhat ignorant. Sorry - I just had to rant about that - even though it was a minor part of the story.
